About North Shore Masters Swimming

North Shore Masters Swimming has emerged out of Hornsby Masters Swimming , known as the Hornsby High-Fins Masters Swimming Club, which was established in 1995.

Whilst the Hornsby Aquatic Centre is now in operation, our Members are located over a wide area and currently they train at the Knox Grammar Aquatic Centre in Wahroonga and various other pools around.  Sessions are offered at Hornsby as well as the Loretto College Normanhurst, with the Aquabliss Performance team.

See the Squad Programs page for more information about specific times and locations.

Many of our members regularly participate in competition meets held by various clubs affiliated with NSW Masters Swimming and some regularly attend the Australian National Championships held around the country.

Masters swimming isn’t always about competing at swim meets. It is about improving fitness, building friendships and having fun along the way. If you do choose to attend swim meets, it is very much about achieving your own personal goals. Masters swimmers come with a wide range of abilities.  There are no qualifying times but there are normal swimming rules. So there is no need to be concerned about being too slow.

Many people just like to train in a squad on a regular basis to keep fit, setting their own goals along the way. Whatever your goals, if you love swimming, Masters Swimming can probably help you achieve them.
