Competitive Swimming.

North Shore Masters are affiliated with NSW Masters Swimming and our members can participate in over 20 competitive swimming meets each year conducted by State, National and Club bodies.

National Swimming Championships are held around March/April each year and are hosted by a different state on rotation each year. NSW last hosted the event in Sydney in 2013 and will again in 2020.

NSW holds 2 State Championship events (LC & SC up to 200 m) each year as well as a Long Distance Championship event with distances from 400 to 1500 m.

And to keep you fit and in race condition along the way, 19 individual clubs currently hold a regular swim meet each year.

Endurance Swimming

This is a program to increase your aerobic fitness by completing a range of sets throughout the year, often completed during regular squad programs. Points are allocated for swims within a set time range and clubs can compete for a number of national awards, including the  Top Points Scoring Club and the Highest Average Points per member award.

Million Metres

Participants are recognised for swimming over 1 million metres during their training programs.
